(Amman – September 2019) Injaz and Bank of Jordan have signed a joint cooperation agreement aimed at contributing to Bank of Jordan’s support for the Adoption of Schools Program, one of Injaz’s programs aimed at developing the educational sector and helping to promote a new culture of social responsibility for different parts, in which the private sector plays a major and direct role in the development of the educational system through a different set of themes included in the program.
The joint cooperation between the two parties is aimed at strengthening the effective partnership in various fields, as Bank of Jordan is a member of the Board of Trustees of Injaz, which includes the most important institutions besides local and international companies from various sectors. In the same time Injaz works to provide the younger generation with the expertise and competencies needed by the labor market today.
The agreement was signed by the CEO of Bank of Jordan, Saleh Rajab Hammad, and the Executive Director of Injaz for Education, Muhannad Al-Jarrah.
Mr. Saleh Rajab Hammad, CEO of Bank of Jordan, said: "The signing of this agreement comes from the Bank's keenness to select and implement CSR programs that targeted educational initiatives. He added “We choose the CSR initiatives that have a long-term positive change for students and enable them to learn and grow to build a bright future”.
For his part, Muhannad Al-Jarrah expressed his appreciation for Injaz’s partnership with Bank of Jordan, pointing out that the school adoption program comes to link the private sector in Jordan with the school as an educational unit in the local community. He pointed out that such agreements contribute to the creation of more capable and efficient youth to meet the needs of local community.
Al-Jarrah added that the program will be implemented with the students of Shmeisani School for Girls through a set of sub-programs to build the capacity of the students, and provide them with personal, social and professional skills and enable them to determine their future career paths, and make important decisions in their lives.
