Bank of Jordan recently provided its support for the "Help Them in Ramadan" campaign, which was initiated by the Jordan Medical Aid for Palestinians (JMAP). As part of its commitment, the bank covered the expenses of an ultrasound machine for the women's clinic in the medical center located in the Hitten Palestinian Refugee Camp. In addition, it also funded 11 urgent surgeries for children who were benefiting from the organization's services. This contribution is a result of the long-term partnership between the two parties, with Bank of Jordan providing constant support to the organization's programs and campaigns for several years.
The bank's involvement in the seventh edition of the campaign showcases its continued dedication to being a leading institution in supporting the health sector. This commitment ensures the long-term sustainability of the services provided to members of the community, thereby preserving their overall well-being. The support primarily centers around disadvantaged sectors of society, recognising that access to these services is a basic right for all human beings, regardless of their circumstances and capabilities.
This support is considered of great importance, as it is in line with the directives of the Economic Modernisation Vision to facilitate the provision of accessible and quality healthcare services to improve the quality of life of citizens, through the promotion of partnerships between different sectors.
Bank of Jordan positions itself as a key partner in sustainable development, placing a strong emphasis on public health for people of all ages. As a part of its comprehensive corporate social responsibility strategy, the bank consistently allocates a portion of its investments to tackle health challenges and meet the needs of this field.
The "Help Them in Ramadan" campaign aims to provide specialised medical treatment to 10,000 disadvantaged children in refugee camps and neighboring villages through clinics set up in JMAP’s health centers.
