The Basic Bank Account is a Jordanian Dinar (JOD) bank account designed for Jordanian resident customers, offered under special terms and features. It targets individuals who are legally eligible to deal with banks and who do not own any type of bank account with any bank operating in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It is intended for those who wish to use banking services within limits and costs suitable to their income and personal circumstances The account balance must not exceed JOD 700.

Basic Services Provided by the Basic Bank Account:

• Cash withdrawals and deposits.

• Cheque deposits into the account.

• Incoming and outgoing bank transfers.

• ATM card.

• Electronic banking services.

Services Not Available Through the Basic Bank Account:

• Credit facilities.

• Cheque book issuance.

• Credit card issuance.

• Granting interest or prizes on the account.

This account can only be opened in-branch. Its terms and features do not apply to electronic accounts opened through the BOJ Mobile application.
