Bank of Jordan Signs Sponsorship Agreement with Jordan Exports for the Jordanian Pavilion at Damascus International Fair 2025

(Amman, Jordan – xx July 2025) – As part of its strategy to support trade exchange and strengthen Jordan's presence in Syria and the region, Bank of Jordan has signed a cooperation agreement with Jordan Exports Company to serve as the exclusive platinum sponsor for the banking sector within the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s Pavilion at the Damascus International Fair 2025. Held under the slogan "Syria Welcomes the World," the fair takes place in Damascus from 27 August to 5 September, 2025.

The sponsorship aligns with Bank of Jordan’s presence in the Syrian market through Bank of Jordan-Syria and reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting regional economic activities and reinforcing Jordan’s participation in Arab and international events.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Saleh Rajab Hammad, CEO of Bank of Jordan, and His Excellency Yousef Al-Shamali, Director General and CEO of Jordan Exports, which is responsible for national exports under Jordan’s public-private partnerships.

This participation underscores Bank of Jordan’s commitment to the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein to reinforce Jordan’s economic presence in regional markets. It also supports efforts to build a new phase of economic integration between Jordan and Syria by enhancing cooperation in investment, trade, and banking services, ultimately serving the shared interests of the two countries.

Jordan Exports emphasized the significance of the agreement, highlighting that the sponsorship reflects the shared vision of both parties to support the national economy and enable Jordanian companies to access new markets. It expressed its aspiration for fruitful cooperation that will showcase the potential of Jordanian products and services regionally and internationally.

Through this sponsorship, Bank of Jordan reaffirms its commitment to playing a role in development beyond providing traditional banking services, through supporting initiatives and projects that stimulate economic growth and empower the business sector in its markets of operation. The bank prioritizes promoting national exports and expanding opportunities for Jordanian companies through innovative financing tools and strategic partnerships aligned with the Kingdom’s economic priorities.

The participation, organized in coordination with the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the Jordan Chamber of Industry, reflects Jordan’s commitment to strengthening economic partnership and trade integration with Syria.

This participation marks a significant milestone in advancing economic ties between Jordan and Syria, opening new horizons for Jordanian exports, fostering expertise exchange, and expanding institutional presence in the region.
