Bank of Jordan Concludes 9th Edition of "Mihnati" Program 2026, Continuing Its Investment in Young Talent

Date: 28/09/2026

(Amman, Jordan – 14 September 2026): Bank of Jordan has concluded the ninth edition of its strategic “Mihnati” program 2026, reaffirming its commitment to investing in promising young talent. The initiative supports high school and university students from local and international institutions, as well as recent graduates, by providing a structured, hands-on experience that allows them to put their academic knowledge into practice, build practical skills, and gain firsthand experience in a professional banking environment. The program is designed to help participants better prepare for the labor market and the demands of their future careers.

The 9th edition, introduced in a revamped format, delivered strong results and a high level of engagement. A total of 52 participants were selected from 300 applicants from Jordan and Palestine, all of which have successfully completed the program. The cohort also reported full satisfaction across all aspects of the experience, while the program generated a range of practical solutions with potential for real-world implementation. In addition, 17 participants were granted priority hiring status should relevant vacancies become available within the bank.

Held over eight weeks, Mihanti featured a comprehensive program of training sessions, activities, and practical challenges that gave participants firsthand exposure to banking operations, professional requirements, and a range of functions, with a particular focus on digital banking and financial innovation. The participants drew on the expertise of Bank of Jordan employees and specialized mentors across different sectors and roles, while also engaging directly with the bank’s executive management. Through practical challenges and collaborative activities, they had the opportunity to strengthen their skills, develop ideas, and explore new approaches to problem-solving and project development.

Innovation was a central focus of this year’s program, with participants applying their knowledge and newly developed skills and transforming them into data-driven projects to address challenges facing the banking sector. This work was carried out through the “Innovation Track,” one of the key components introduced as part of the latest edition.

As the program drew to a close, five winning ideas were selected from 11 finalists, who had advanced from an initial pool of 85 submissions following a rigorous technical screening and evaluation process. The final selection reflected the participants’ ability to turn their learning into practical projects with potential value for the banking sector. The winning projects were “Tawthiq” in first place; “Green SCF” and “RISIKO,” tied for second place; “Digital Twin” in third place; “IMARA by BoJ” in fourth place. Bank of Jordan will assess these projects for potential implementation and further development.

As part of its approach to performance evaluation and continuous development, the bank also introduced an additional pathway for top performers. Through this track, selected participants underwent an internationally accredited assessment designed to evaluate their competencies and identify their potential roles within the innovation lifecycle. As part of this initiative, 20 participants took part in the assessment and development experience, giving them an opportunity to build on the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program and pursue a professional certification in innovation.

Bank of Jordan’s continued implementation of the Mihnati program reflects its broader commitment to investing in and empowering young people. Having evolved from a traditional training initiative into a platform for developing future banking talent, the program provides a practical model that connects learning with employment, encourages innovation, and helps identify and prepare promising individuals for future opportunities. Through this approach, Bank of Jordan is helping bridge the gap between academic learning and labor market needs while contributing to the development of a skilled and forward-looking generation of banking professionals.
