Bank of Jordan Renews its Partnership with Tkiyet Um Ali and Supports its Annual Feeding and Sponsorship Programs for 2025

(Amman, Jordan – January 28, 2025): Bank of Jordan has renewed its strategic agreement with Tkiyet Um Ali for 2025, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to support its efforts in achieving its goal of eradicating hunger and enhancing food security in the Kingdom.

The agreement reflects the dedication of both parties to helping vulnerable groups in society and addressing their nutritional needs, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable health and decent living. It was signed by the General Manager of Bank of Jordan, Saleh Hammad, and the Director of Tkiyet Um Ali, Mr. Samer Balkar, in the presence of a number of officials and employees from both organizations.

Under the renewed agreement, Bank of Jordan will continue its support for the Family Sponsorship Program throughout 2025. The program aims to provide essential food supplies to families facing hardship, particularly the elderly, people with special needs, orphans, widows, and those battling chronic illness. Monthly food parcels will be distributed to families in need across Jordan, helping to ensure they receive the necessary sustenance throughout the year.

This partnership underscores Bank of Jordan's commitment to its responsible development role, reflecting the bank's humanitarian values and its strategic approach to sustainability in economic, societal, and environmental dimensions. By supporting initiatives like this, the bank aligns its efforts with the goals of the Economic Modernization Vision and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, contributing to a better future for all. Through its services and activities, which extend beyond banking, the bank focuses on empowering individuals and improving their well-being, continuing a tradition of giving that spans over six decades.

The importance of this ongoing initiative for the bank is highlighted by Tkiyet Um Ali’s. The organization provides sustainable food assistance to approximately 20,000 families per month, living below the food poverty line across all governorates in Jordan. Each monthly food parcel contains 20 essential items, designed to meet the family's nutritional needs throughout the month.
