(Amman, Jordan – 16 October 2024): Bank of Jordan achieved an outstanding milestone in cybersecurity by receiving the ‘Best Bank’ award in the National Cybersecurity Training for Financial Institutions in 2024.
This event, organized by the Central Bank of Jordan, was held under the patronage of Deputy Governor Dr. Khaldoun Al-Wshah.
Bank of Jordan secured second place in the competition, which involved a simulated cyber-attack. This accomplishment strengthens the Bank’s reputation as one of the most secure institutions in Jordan’s financial sector.
Bank of Jordan’s Information Security Department demonstrated its strong capabilities by responding swiftly, aggressively tackling, and blocking simulated cyber threats and phishing attacks.
This award recognizes Bank of Jordan’s ongoing commitment to enhancing information security and data protection. The Bank employs the latest technologies and adheres to the highest standards to protect customers’ data and banking transactions. This achievement is also a testament to the Bank’s personnel, who have reached the highest level of expertise in the cybersecurity field. Bank of Jordan continuously invests in enriching their employees’ experience in overcoming technical challenges, ensuring the highest levels of safety and reliability for the customers’ bank transactions.
It is worth noting that many of Jordan’s financial institutions participated in this annual competition, which aims to improve and strengthen cybersecurity practices. The competition included many simulated cyber challenges based on real-life scenarios, designed to test institutions’ readiness to face cyber threats and evaluate their information security departments' ability to manage complex cyber-attack scenarios.
