Fakhouri Sponsors Graduation Ceremony for First Cohort of Mihnati Internship Program

(Amman, Jordan, August 2022): The Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Jordan, Shaker Fakhouri, with the attendance of the bank’s CEO, Saleh Rajab, sponsored the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of students from the “Mihnati” internship program, the program was established by the Bank of Jordan, and aimed to assist university and school students to explore and develop their professional skills. Through the program, participants will earn the practical work experience they need to start their careers.

The internship program enables school and university students to experience a professional work environment in different departments within the bank’s institute. Students are introduced to a practical workspace to prepare them for future jobs after graduating, and guide them towards investing their time, developing their skills, and building their capabilities efficiently.

To celebrate this occasion, Mr. Shaker Fakhouri mentioned in his speech that the purpose of the program is to motivate university students and prepare them for the job market, based on the bank’s belief in empowering the youth. He considers the “Mihnati” program a golden opportunity for university students who are about to graduate and start their career, since students enrolled acquire an abundance of skills and experiences necessary for the job market especially in the banking industry and other major financial institutes.

In additional, Fakhouri pointed out that through the “Mihnati” program the Bank of Jordan targets the youth sector to prepare them will all the necessary means they need by prompting a productive youth environment and developing their abilities during their school years. He also assured the bank’s firm commitment to provide young talent with the necessary skills and knowledge required in order to build a successful career in the FinTech sector.

Finally, Fakhouri explained that the program will contribute towards encouraging participating students to develop their skills and ease their way into the financial and banking industry. This will be done through assisting students gain practical experience and refining their skills while preparing them to enter the job market. Or/ Finally, he wished students a successful future career after participating in the program that the Bank of Jordan established. “Mihnati” was thoroughly designed to meet the highest standards available to ensure students achieve their professional ambitions, and to fully prepare them to start a future career in the banking sector.
